A family-run business Kats n Dogs has been in the Central West NSW area for over 13 years. We have provided pet care services to our community for just as long, with combined studies in

  • Microchip implantation, animal health & welfare studies

  •  Pet first aid training

  • Diet needs of a canine

  • Training of German Shorthaired Pointer Gundogs

  • Produce our own brand of game meat dog treats called Southpoint.

We are committed to providing a high level of care to your pet when providing our pet services.

We now provide healthy natural dog & cat treats along with raw pet food to help keep your pets happy & healthy and have a shop in Rowston Lane Cowra NSW for visiting if you don't want to buy online.

Our pet food range  Ziva's story

The packaging with the dog pictures started with our dog Ziva in mind. We lost her in a tragic car crash in 2019 and we wanted to keep her memory alive.

She is the wonderful black dog with angel wings on our chicken treats. She loved all things chicken and was our daughter's best friend. Being a Great Dane she was laid back most the time and of course was an inside dog so sleeping on the bed was a must. She could keep up with the kids when needed jumping with them on the trampoline or laying on the grass with the kids even being dressed up in fancy clothes.

Our dogs are now GSP's that are very much members of the family used as taste testers, models, work helpers by assisting with socialisation and training skills & are trained in obedience and retrieving / Gundog Trial.

German Shorthair Pointers sometimes called bird dogs, are a type of gundog typically used in finding game once it has been shot by the hunter/ owner.

SouthPoint Game Meats

SouthPoint organic game meat treats are sustainably & ethically source locally from the wild in the Cowra NSW district, with each animal individually selected and breeding females, and younger animals left unharmed.

Our Nose to Tail usage means almost 100% of the animal is utilised and there is very minimal wastage.

Although Deer are an introduced feral animal, we still respect and admire these animals and have a 1 shot 1 kill policy so if there is not a clear and suitable shot none will be taken so no animal is left wounded or suffering.

The meat & organs are prepared in a commercial kitchen, we thoroughly clean and disinfect all equipment before & after use.

Our other great treats are made from 100% Aussie meats & veggies.

We use a commercial kitchen for bigger meat processing but also like to make some at home where we can be with our human & animal family. Our pets enjoy all our products regularly.

We buy the kangaroo, beef, lamb and chicken meats & organs direct from the abattoirs or poultry farms and we like to think we help towards less wastage of animal organs & meats by doing this. There is enough meats in the supermarket but what about all the stuff that isn't ' good enough' to look nice in our store packets? Australian Agriculture Organisation estimates approximately one-third of all food produced for human consumption is wasted before even hitting the shelves.

Our dehydrated treats are 100% natural with absolutely nothing added.

That means no hidden chemicals or additives.

Have you read the ingredients in the store brought dog treats? Sure it will have meat listed first that's great but what part of the animal is the so-called meat? And in what condition was the meat sourced?

Then you will probably see wheat flour, glycerine, sugar, tapioca starch, wheat gluten, lecithin, cellulose, fish marine extract, beef flavour, salt, Sodium tripolyphosphate, preservative, Vitamin E, colourant. They are unnecessary and unhealthy, and it’s not clear exactly what are the preservatives, flavourings, and colourings.

Some make it taste better they say and some make it last longer on the shelves but really why feed it to your dog if you don't have to right?

That's where we come in.

Enjoy the feeling of doing the right thing when you treat your

dog to one of our organic, natural healthy treats.

Thank you for buying one of our products as we hope you can tell we love our family, our pets and our products. Please leave a google review online for us or share our posts on Facebook with your friends & family.
